David Filkin has more than 25 years of serving successful families and their businesses.  After practicing law for nearly 20 years, David joined a Chicago-based wealth management firm, Gresham Partners where he was primarily responsible for business development.  In 2012, David joined the start-up, Momentum Strategic Advisors, and was responsible for sales and advance relationship development.  With TGP, David has the opportunity to help successful families and business achieve significance utilizing his strong legal, strategic, and relational skills.  David also serves as the Chairman of the elder board at Christ Church Lake Forest and as a board member of the Swedish Covenant Hospital Foundation board.  In addition, David serves a professional facilitator of a peer advisor group for the Family Business Center of Loyola University comprised of family member CEOs of family owned businesses.  David and his wife Susan live in Lake Forest and have four children.  In addition to attending soccer games, David enjoys fishing, golfing, and biking.

Scott lives to help others be more, achieve more, and have more. He has worked with highly successful and high profile Business Leaders and Entrepreneurs, Grammy nominated Recording Artists, World Champion Motorsports (NHRA, NASCAR, IndyCar and IMSA) individuals and teams and other Professional Athletes to help them achieve their highest personal and professional potential while discovering and living life on purpose. He has been featured in many worldwide media outlets, including USA Today and ESPN. Scott went through his own personal search for Transformational Growth after successfully climbing the corporate ladder for over 17 years and realizing that nothing he had worked and sacrificed for could bring TRUE growth or TRUE happiness – there had to be something more. Throughout his journey, he has experienced numerous successful accomplishments and dramatic improvements in all aspects of professional and personal life fulfillment. Scott is certified in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), Hypnotherapy, Master Coaching and has achieved a Masters level in Character Development and Leadership.  Scott is also a fourth-degree Black Belt and Certified Instructor in Tae Kwon Do. He has won many medals in World Championship martial arts tournaments, including three gold medals in international competitions. Scott and his wonderful wife Kirsten have been married for over 25 years and they live in the SW Suburbs of Chicago with their dog Luci.

Melissa is a Senior Business Executive with a successful history of leading business transformations, growing revenues, and enhancing profitability. At TGP, Melissa serves a dual role, bringing her extensive background in HR consulting to the team as she spearheads the company’s external communication efforts, as well as providing her expertise in Brain Training-a program she developed through life experience and a background in Psychology.  Melissa has two Master’s Degrees: Human Resources Management and Counseling. She has worked in various capacities in the Mental Health field and gradually transitioned into an HR role at her last position within a not-for-profit organization for individuals with Traumatic Brain Injuries. From there, she began helping start-ups develop and implement their HR infrastructure and providing consulting services to other companies. Melissa has diligently worked on a topic that began with a personal event in her life and has since transformed into a program she implements in assisting others in accomplishing a high performance brain, and enhanced mental functioning. She has expertise in large-scale organizational management and customer experience management with a reputation for assessing organizational strengths, finding improvement opportunities and mobilizing resources to enhance business practices and financial performance. Melissa is analytical and strategic with a strong focus on tactical implementation.  She most recently launched a TGP Community Meetup group of energetic volunteers that serve the community on a weekly basis. She lives in Plainfield with her husband and son, and enjoys running, being active outdoors, playing soccer, traveling, and watching her son grow.  She is also a voracious reader and constantly looking for continuous education and new experiences.

Brian Marshall

Brian is a successful entrepreneur and business coach with three decades of experience producing dramatic business results for start-ups as well as small and mid-size companies in the manufacturing, professional services, high-technology and financial service industries. He founded TGP in 2014 based on his desire to help others experience life beyond business and financial success to achieve significance in their world. In 2011, Brian co-founded Chicago-based professional services and advanced planning firm Momentum Strategic Advisors, and in 2006, he and a partner started Alliance for Strategic Advantage, a sales training and management consultancy. Throughout his work in business, Brian has held leadership positions responsible for all aspects of business operations in roles ranging from CEO, CIO, VP of Operations, and Sales Leadership.  He currently serves on several boards for companies in the Chicago area. As Chief Information Officer of a publicly traded company, Brian received an AITP Chicago “CIO of the Year” Award in 2000. Brian and Tawnya, his wife of 32 years, live on a private lake in a rural town, 70 miles southwest of Chicago where they spend time with their kids, grandkids, family and friends.

Bob is a 30  year veteran of the real estate commercial investment business in urban Chicago, spending much of that that time as a trusted advisor and co-investor with a high net worth family real estate enterprise. He founded Limina Consulting in 2006 to pursue both investing and consulting activities and has used that platform to address the unique needs of professionals in transition and family-owned businesses. In connection with DePaul University’s ASK program (Alumni Sharing Knowledge), Bob spends part of each week providing mentoring support to students and emerging real estate entrepreneurs. Bob grew up in Nashville, is a military veteran and received his undergraduate degree from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. He spent 10 busy years in Louisiana, Texas and Mexico as a Jesuit and moved to Chicago to complete his education at Loyola University in Chicago. Bob is now married and he and his wife have raised two children of their own. They have also committed themselves to the care of children by serving as foster parents and providing emergency shelter through the Night Ministry of Chicago. Bob and his wife now live just west of Chicago. In his spare time, he enjoys quiet, alone time reading, fly fishing, and yoga.
